Project Highlight: Gladstone House

Seasons are changing and our busy summer filled with multiple remodels and the annual Louisville Tour of Homes has officially wrapped up. To celebrate, here is an in-depth highlight of our Gladstone Project. Our team had a hand in touching up most of the house including a kitchen, basement, and bathroom remodel. We were also able to open the main level of the home for a more open floor plan. Let’s take a closer look at this beautiful remodel.

Kitchen

On the main floor, we started with a naked wall of insulation and wood studs and were able to turn it into this stunning kitchen! The kitchen is complete with new stainless-steel appliances, a farmhouse-style sink with plenty of space for a full family worth of dishes, and plenty of cupboard space. This open floor plan with space for a kitchen table and island leaves room for daily living, as well as entertaining guests.

To open the space between the kitchen and the living room we removed the wall dividing the staircase and the kitchen. By removing this unnecessary wall, we were able to drastically change the space, allowing the homeowners to better communicate from different areas of the house. Plus, it is more appealing to the eye.

Basement

The basement started as a storage area with cement floors and studded walls. It has now transformed into a full basement remodel complete with an entertainment system, toy storage, wall paneling, and a spare bedroom. The owners of the house needed room to grow and spend time together as a family and we gave them just that. This space will allow them to spend quality time together, playing and watching the weekly football game all at the same time.

We were also able to transform a side storage room into a guest bedroom complete with polished wood floors, a queen-size bed, and a full-size closet. This room will be the perfect space to house guests, and it leaves the family with space to grow as the children age.

Bathroom

The bathroom was desperate for a refresh. Since it is a tighter space, we wanted to make sure everything was as concise and easy to access as possible. The prefabricated standing shower with sliding glass door looks clean and modern without filling the room. The countertop is made of a beautiful white quartz which is accented with simple décor to complete the bathroom.

Overall, we are extremely happy with the project. Photos and videos of this living space can be found all over our social media.
