6 Bathroom Organization Hacks from Remodeling Professionals

6 Bathroom Organization Hacks | Twin Spires Remodeling | Louisville KY

One area of the home that gets easily ignored is the bathroom. It is easy for bathrooms to become disorganized and chaotic. Often, the messiest of situations occur there, including makeup disasters, at-home haircuts, and empty beauty product bottles scattered around the room. If your bathroom is a mess right now, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, but here are a few of our favorite bathroom organization hacks to help keep things clean and easy to access in your bathroom.

Double sink for more space | Twin Spires Remodeling | Louisville, KY

 Double Sink

For larger families or couples sharing a bathroom, having two sinks is a huge blessing. The double sink can be used as a his/her area for better organization or split into different factions of the day. One sink could be surrounded by toothbrushes, face wash, and Q-tips, while the other is surrounded by lotion, hand soap, and tissues. Creating separation in routine helps to organize the counter space. It also creates more overall space both on the counter and with the drawers beneath.

 Label, label, label

Matching storage drawers are in high popularity right now. Many people have latched onto the idea of labeling uniform bottles for easier access and storage. This eliminates awkward storage from miscellaneous shaped bottles, boxes, and sprays. Be sure to always label, though! That way, nothing will get mixed, and everything has a place where it belongs.

Shower with built in shelving | Twin Spires Remodeling | Louisville Kentucky

 Shower with shelving and organizer

Consider installing a shower that already includes built-in shelving for more storage and organization. As always, a shower caddy can be added to better arrange all the shower items, but by having space included in the shower, you get the most storage per space available.

 Cabinets under the sink

Do your sink cupboards appear to be a black hole lately? It is easy for them to become the shove all space for random items. Add shelves under the sink with different storage baskets and hanging hooks for the best organization.

 Built-in Shelves

Like having a shower with built-in shelves, if a nook with shelving is built into the wall, more storage is added without taking up space within the room—no need to worry about bumping your head on a shelf after standing up from spitting toothpaste in the sink.

As our years of experience have provided us with many lessons in organization, these hacks tend to consistently be our favorite. But, of course, you can use more than one!
